SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL
The journal publishes original, innovative research
articles, review articles, short communications, scientific
reports in all fields of pharmaceutical and related health
sciences.
It is recommended that all articles do not exceed a total of
15 double spaced pages including references, tables,
figure legends and figures using font size 12. Review
articles are allowed up to 25 pages. The publication
language is English.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
All authors are requested to disclose any actual or
potential conflict of interest including any financial,
personal or other relationships with other people or
organizations within three years of beginning the submitted
work that could inappropriately influence, or be perceived
to influence, their work.
DECLARATION OF SUBMISSION
Submission of an article implies that the work described has
not been published previously (except in the form of an
abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic
thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication
elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors
and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities
where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it
will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English
or in any other language, without the written consent of the
copyright-holder.
SUBMISSION
Submission to this journal proceeds only by e-mail to the
editor (ssenel@hacettepe.edu.tr).
All correspondences, including notification of the Editor's
decision and requests for revision takes place by e-mail.
Research Articles
Articles in all fields of pharmaceutical and related health
sciences (physical, chemical, biological, medical, dental,
social, etc.), presenting an original research could be
consider for publication.
Scientific Reviews
An updated comprehensive review, with sufficient number of
scientific articles including original paper(s) of the
author(s) on a subject, evaluating and discussing the
results
could be consider for publication.
Short Communications
Rapid announcement of the results of a continuing research,
not exceeding two printed pages can be submitted as a short
communication.
Scientific Reports
a) Articles dealing with important scientific pharmaceutical
events in Turkey and in the world,
b) Recent equipment and materials,
c) Short information and reports on
the pharmaceutical congresses, conferences, symposia, etc.,
d) English summaries of Ph.D. theses
in pharmaceutical sciences,
e) Reviews of scientific books in
pharmaceutical sciences,
f ) Reviews on recently published
scientific journals, etc. can be submitted as a short
communication.
Preparation of manuscripts
1. Text should be typed double spaced in A4 format with a
margin of 2 cm on each side of the page using a word
processor, MS Office for Windows.
2. Following the article title,
author names and affiliations should be stated. All
affiliations should be stated with a lower-case superscript
letter. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation,
including the country name, and e-mail address of the
corresponding author.
3. A cover page should be provided with the title of
article, author name and affiliations (including fax,
telephone, e-mail addresses) of the author to whom all
correspondence should be directed. Manuscripts submitted
should have a separate letter including the signatures of
each author.
4.
The Declaration of Helsinki as amended in Seoul 2008 for
humans, and the European Community guidelines and Turkish
Official guidelines as accepted principles for the use of
experimental animals, must be also adhered to.
5. Sections of the manuscripts should adhere to the
following sequence:
Summary
It should be written in Turkish and English, not exceeding
200 words, title and keywords should be given in both
languages. List of keywords (maximum 5) should be provided
under the summaries. The aim of the study, methods, results
and conclusion should be described briefly.
Introduction
The objective of the work should be stated and an adequate
background provided, avoiding a detailed literature survey
or a summary of the results.
Material and methods
Sufficient detail should be provided to allow the work to be
reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by
a reference: only relevant modifications should be
described.
Results
Results should be clear and concise.
Discussion
This should explore the significance of the results of
the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion
section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and
discussion of published literature.
Conclusions
The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a
short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a
subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion
section.
References
References should be numbered consecutively in the order in
which they are cited.
The reference list is given in the order in which they
appear in the text.
